The Fenix 21700 6000 mAh rechargeable battery (ARB-L21-6000) with protected electronics delivers the highest real capacity on the market. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge.

Note that the dimensions of the battery are 22 millimeters x 76.6 millimeters, making it larger in diameter than the conventional Li-ion type 21700. It will therefore only fit in some flashlights and headlamps. We have verified compatibility in the following Fenix flashlights: TK22R, TK30R, HT18R, HT32, LR36R, LD45R, PD40R V3.0, PD36R V2.0.

Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. The added electronic circuits prevent the cell from overcharging, over-discharging. They protect it against short circuit or too high current draw. If the battery electronics assess that the limit values have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.

Internal protection consists of a separator, state-of-the-art Heat Resistance Layer (HRL) and a special explosion-proof valve. In the event that the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator separates the electrodes inside the battery and thus de-facto interrupts the exothermic reaction and the explosion-proof valve releases the excess gas pressure outside the battery. The combination of electronic and mechanical (temperature and pressure) protection makes Fenix batteries one of the safest li-ion batteries available.

Due to the battery's 76.6 millimeter length (including the protective electronics), it can only be charged in chargers that are designed for this length. See recommended chargers below.

Do not discharge the battery below 2.5V if possible
Do not short-circuit the battery (do not connect the cell poles with a wire)
