Our lightweight Syncrino™ 125 fabric is made from a blend of Merino wool and 32% recycled synthetic fibers. Merino wool is ideal for base layers in cold weather. Its ability to absorb water makes it excellent at wicking sweat away from the skin, maintaining comfort and regulating body temperature. It's also a great insulator when wet, although it can take a while to dry.
Synthetic fibres are strong, durable, lightweight and hold their shape well. They can also dry extremely quickly. By blending these yarns, we have created a quick-drying, fast-sucking, insulating and durable material that is ideal for mountain baselayers.

The RAB story began in 1981 in the attic of a small terraced house in Sheffield, where Rab Carrington made the first sleeping bag to bear his name. Rab's experience from his years in the mountains was evident in his designs, which he hand-stitched and devised with his own genius eye, and were soon in demand from both friends and the growing local mountaineering community.
But it didn't end there. Soon the word got out and the Sheffield loft became a factory floor, producing sleeping bags and jackets for customers far and wide.
