You no longer need special shoes for every season. Wear the same breathable cycling or trail running shoes and protect your feet from moisture with waterproof socks. Which also come in handy as a backup for long runs when even waterproof shoes don't catch on.

The laminated membrane is just one part of the three-layer construction of these socks, though. Their surface is reinforced with a cover nylon knit, and a underlayer of merino wool oversees your feet's thermal comfort. Which also means zero odor.
