The Fenix HM75R Topaz rechargeable headlamp is specially adapted for the Czech and Slovak market and has several changes and improvements compared to the standard version of the Fenix HM75R headlamp:
1. The headlamp has an extra combined mode, where the high and wide reflector shines at the same time.
2. Inside the headlamp is used the latest 18650 battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh instead of 3400 mAh in the standard version.
3. In the package there is no external battery and USB extension cable, which makes the separate headlamp cheaper. If needed, both can be purchased separately.
4. The high beam reflector uses LEDs with a warmer neutral tint (approx. 4500 K) instead of a cool tint.
5. The wide beam reflector uses LEDs with a warm tint (approx. 3000 K) and a high CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 94.5.
6. The red light is turned on by double-clicking the button directly from the off state.
7.. The weakest red light mode has been reduced to 2 lumens and conversely the flashing has been amplified to 10 lumens and the frequency increased for a more effective warning function.
The performance parameters have been maintained, the maximum output of the main beam and combined mode is 1600 lumens, the red light has an output of up to 120 lumens.
The driving reflector with the high-performance LED Luminus SST-40 produces a well-focused light beam with a range of up to 223 metres, and the second reflector with the high-performance LED Luminus SST-20 has a very wide and smooth light path with a range of up to 68 metres. A rotary dial on the side of the headlamp switches between long, wide and combined modes.
The headlamp is powered by a rechargeable 18650 4000 mAh Li-ion battery, and a removable rear battery case with a 21700 5000 mAh battery can be purchased to significantly extend the light duration.
The headlamp can also be operated without the battery inside, with only power from a power bank via USB-C cable (with a slightly reduced maximum power). The headlamp is made of lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, its construction is fully dust and waterproof according to IP68 standard and also shockproof to drops from a height of 2 meters.
The HM75R Topaz headlamp's excellent performance and durability parameters make it suitable for anyone who wants a strong and reliable partner in extreme conditions. It will serve great at work, for example, rescue workers, but also athletes, climbers, repairmen, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. A nice bonus is the very strong red light.
All parameters of the headlamp (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the HM75R Topaz Headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the battery pack from the factory.
The headlamp is switched on and off with the rotary switch on the right side. In the first position, the headlamp is off, turning it to the second position turns it into the main beam mode, turning it to the third position turns it into the wide beam mode and turning it to the fourth position turns on the main beam and wide beam simultaneously. The off headlamp is switched to the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly. Holding the button down will turn the red light off again.
The power modes of any reflector are cycled by pressing the button located on the side of the rotary switch.
Memory for last set power mode - The headlamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector except for the highest power modes of the main and wide reflectors, instead it will turn on in the second highest mode of that reflector.
Intelligent power reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the spotlight approaches the illuminated object (less than 60 mm) for more than 1.5 s, it automatically reduces the power to low mode to prevent damage to the object from strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is away from the illuminated object for more than 0.8 s, the headlamp automatically resumes the previously used power level. Turning the Intelligent Proximity Sensor on/off - Press the side button on the headlamp when it is off for 6 seconds. The headlamp will indicate the feature is on with two blinks in low mode. Turning the function off is indicated by the headlamp with eight blinks in low mode
Intelligent Overheat Protection - When using the headlamp on high power modes for long periods of time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the power by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power will gradually increase again.
Headlamp Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power setting is reached, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Charging the headlamp
Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp's charging port. Replace the dust cap when charging is complete. During the charging process, the four indicators on the top of the headlamp light up and flash gradually. Four steady on indicates that charging is complete. Normal charging time is 4 hours with a 5V/2.5A USB source for a fully discharged headlamp.
Note: The headlamp can be used in all modes while charging with a 9V USB source. The maximum output of the high beam headlamp will be limited to 1200 lumens and the wide beam headlamp to 700 lumens. When charging with a 5 V USB source, the headlamp can only be used in the two lowest modes of any reflector. The headlamp will flash several times when first switched on after plugging in the USB power supply to indicate the charging voltage applied. Two flashes indicate charging at 5 V and four flashes indicate charging at 9 V. When powered from the USB power supply, the headlamp can be used without the battery inside. Charge only the original Fenix ARB-L18 batteries in the headlamp.
Headlamp battery charge indication - A short press of any button (headlamp must be off) will activate the LED battery charge indicator on the top of the headlamp. Four lit LEDs indicate that the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates that the battery is less than 20% charged.
Replacing theBattery - Unscrew the headlamp cap and insert the battery with the plus pole facing the headlamp. Then fully tighten the headlamp cap again.
Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
Use only high quality Li-ion batteries or disposable CR123A batteries for power.
If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost dead - replace them or charge the battery.
- Contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
