    Using the HM75R headlamp
There may be an insulating cap on the batteries from the factory. Remove them before first use.
The headlamp is switched on and off with the rotary switch on the right side. In the first position the headlamp is off, turning it to the second position switches it to the high beam mode, turning it to the third position switches it to the wide beam mode and turning it to the fourth position switches it to the red beam mode. The power modes in each position are cycled by pressing a button on the side of the rotary switch.
Memory for last power mode set - The headlamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last power mode set for the selected reflector except for the highest power modes of the main beam and wide beam, instead it will turn on in the second highest mode of that reflector.
Lock the supplied USB-C cable in the connectors - A USB-C cable is included to connect the headlamp and battery case. The cable is equipped with locks on both ends to prevent accidental removal from the headlamp or battery case. To lock the cable, plug the USB-C cable into the connector in the headlamp and battery case and turn the cable ends clockwise. To unlock the cable, turn the cable lugs counterclockwise and disconnect the cable.
Intelligent Power Reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the spotlight approaches the illuminated object (less than 60mm) for more than 1.5 seconds, it will automatically reduce the power to low mode to prevent damage to the object from strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is away from the illuminated object for more than 0.8 s, the headlamp automatically resumes the previously used power level. Turning the Intelligent Proximity Sensor on/off - Press the side button on the headlamp when it is off for 6 seconds. The headlamp will indicate the feature is on with two blinks in low mode. Turning the function off is indicated by the headlamp flashing eight times in the low mode.
Intelligent Overheat Protection - When the headlamp is used on high power modes for long periods of time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the power by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power will gradually increase again.
Headlamp Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power setting is reached, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
    Charging and powerbank features
    Charging the headlamp -
Flip off the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp's charging port. Replace the dust cap when charging is complete. During the charging process, the four indicators on the top of the headlamp gradually light up and flash. Four steady on indicates that charging is complete. Normal charging time is 4 hours with a 5V/2.5A USB source for a fully discharged headlamp.
Note: The headlamp can be used in all modes while charging with a 9V USB source. The maximum output of the high beam headlamp will be limited to 1200 lumens and the wide beam headlamp to 700 lumens. When charging with a 5 V USB source, the headlamp can only be used in the two lowest modes of any reflector. The headlamp will flash several times when first switched on after plugging in the USB power supply to indicate the charging voltage applied. Two flashes indicate charging at 5 V and four flashes indicate charging at 9 V. When powered from the USB power supply, the headlamp can be used without the battery inside. Only charge the original Fenix ARB-L18 batteries in the headlamp.
Charging the Rear Battery Case - Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the case charging port. Replace the dust cap when charging is complete. During charging, the indicator in the button on the battery case lights red. When fully charged, it will light up green.
Rear Battery Case Power Bank Function - Remove the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the case charging port. One press of the button on the battery case will turn on the powerbank function. If the power bank is on, pressing the button again will turn it off. When the battery in the battery case is replaced, the powerbank function will turn on automatically if it is connected to the headlamp. The powerbank supports the following fast charging protocols: PD3.0/PD2.0, QC3.0/QC2.0, FCP, SFCP, PE2.0/PE1.1
Powerbank Low Load Detection Function - When the powerbank function on the rear battery case is on, hold the button on the case for 3 seconds. Turning on the low load detection function is indicated by three red flashes of the indicator LED in the button. Turning the function off is indicated by eight red flashes. This feature is designed for charging USB devices with very low draw, such as fitness trackers and wireless headphones. With the low-load detection feature enabled, the power bank will automatically stop discharging when the headlamp is fully charged. To restart the powerbank function, plug the USB-C cable back into it or press the button on the battery case. When the low load detection function is disabled, turn off the power bank function by pressing the button when the headlamp is fully charged to avoid unnecessary battery discharge in the rear battery case.
Battery status indication when the power bank is turned on - If the battery is sufficiently charged, the button on the case flashes green, if the battery voltage drops below 3.2V, the button flashes red. The powerbank function will automatically switch off if the battery voltage drops below 3.0 V.
Headlamp battery charge indication - After briefly pressing any button (the headlamp must be switched off), the LED battery charge indicator on the top of the headlamp will activate. Four lit LEDs indicate that the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one lit 20-40% and one flashing LED indicates that the battery is less than 20% charged.
Battery Case Charge Status Indication - If the rear battery case is not connected by cable to the headlamp or other USB device, the battery case charge status can be determined by pressing the button. If the indicator LED is green when the button is pressed, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If the light is red, the battery is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% of battery capacity remaining.
Replacingthe Battery - Unscrew the headlamp cap and insert the battery with the plus pole facing the headlamp. Then fully tighten the headlamp cap again. When replacing the battery in the rear battery case, insert the battery with the plus pole facing out. If the caps of the headlamp or battery case are not fully tightened, they will not function properly.
    Caution
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
Use only high quality Li-ion batteries for power.
If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
    - Batteries are almost dead - replace them or charge the battery.
    - Contacts in the battery case are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
