BÖKER SOLINGEN Böker Tiger-Damast - Pocket knife

  • The Tiger-Damascus straight-bladed collectible pocket knife features a unique damascus blade made from the steel of a battle tank destroyed in the summer of 1944 near Bauska, Latvia. The stainless steel mosaic damascus was hand-forged by Chad Nichols from the Intrepid pattern and is reminiscent of the marks left in the ground by the heavy tracks of this Tiger tank.

Unlike regular damascus, no layers are formed in the making of mosaic damascus, but the intricate damascus bars are hand-forged into a mosaic in a complicated and highly intricate process. The blade opens with a thumb stud and locks with a sturdy steel framelock with a stonewash finish.

The overall shape of the knife pays homage to the famous lines of the tank, while the decorative pivot bolt is modeled after the main drive wheel. The mildly contoured handle scrapers made of micarta feature precision milled grooves that recall the distinctive Zimmerit coating texture of German armored vehicles. The knife was handmade in the manufactory in Solingen. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and an individual serial number.
