A more affordable variant of the XTC Advanced SL 29 XC race special, which offers very similar handling characteristics to the top model at a significantly lower price. The XTC Advanced 29 is a great choice for XC races and marathons, as well as for performance riding on your favourite XC trails when you don't have a bib pinned to your handlebars.
The bike is based on a surprisingly lightweight Advanced Composite carbon frame - in size M it weighs just 995 grams. We manufacture carbon frames in our own factories using the highest quality raw materials and advanced manufacturing methods and processes. As a result, these frames have high stiffness at low weight and provide excellent handling characteristics for performance and racing cycling.

The frame is designed and engineered to provide high pedaling efficiency and precise bike handling at all times. The frame construction itself is very specific, i.e. the composition of the individual carbon parts during hand fabrication - it varies depending on the frame size. In particular, the vertical "compliance" is optimized to make the frame sufficiently stiff and comfortable at the same time. This achieves the best handling characteristics for each frame size.
The racing geometry of this XC special makes perfect use of all the advantages of 29" wheels. A couple of important numbers - the head angle is 69.5° (70.0° for the L and XL sizes), so the fork is more laid back, which helps the bike handle better, especially on fast descents and technical passages. The saddle angle of 73.5° will be appreciated in steep descents, where your ideal riding position will make the bike willingly go up and hold the trail very well.
Founded in 1972, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.
Giant is the world's leading brand of high quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology and innovative design.
Giant has long been one of the leading innovators in cycling. They introduced lighter and stronger aluminium frames at a time when steel was the industry standard. They were the first to make carbon fibre bikes widely available to the world. They defined modern road bike design with Compact Road geometry. And the patented Maestro suspension revolutionized the full-suspension bike segment.

| Weight | Unfortunately, there is no standard for weighing bikes that all manufacturers adhere to, and the weights listed are often inaccurate. To find out the exact weight of a bike in a given size, you need to have the bike weighed at the store, as well as a model from a competing brand – this is the only way to get accurate figures for weight comparison. |
