The more affordable version of the XTC Advanced SL 29 offers very similar handling characteristics to the top model at a significantly lower price. The XTC Advanced 29 is a great choice for XC races and marathons, as well as for relaxed or performance cross-country rides where a great riding experience is paramount.

The bike is based on a very lightweight Advanced Composite carbon frame - in size M it weighs just 995 grams. We manufacture carbon frames in our own factories using the highest quality raw materials and advanced manufacturing methods and processes. As a result, these frames have high stiffness at low weight and provide excellent handling characteristics for performance and racing cycling.

Giant Tubeless System
Fewer flats. Better tire grip. Less rolling resistance, more comfortable and faster ride. With Giant's tubeless system, you can enjoy all these benefits. The rims come with tubeless tape and valves from the factory, so all you have to do is apply sealant and your wheels are fully ready for tubeless.

Advanced Composite Technology
In our in-house carbon processing factory, we use premium raw carbon with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio to produce custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and mold cured as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a patented manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Overdrive
The oversize front fork post technology is designed to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise bike handling. It includes oversize headset bearings (lower 1 1/4" and upper 1 1/8" on road bikes and lower 1 1/2" and upper 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and a tapered fork post for optimal steering stiffness.

The frame is designed to provide high pedaling efficiency and perfect bike handling. Its specific construction itself is the composition of the individual carbon parts when handmade - it varies according to the frame size. In particular, the vertical compliance is optimised to give the frame the necessary stiffness, but at the same time be comfortable. This results in excellent handling characteristics for every frame size.

The frame geometry is of course fully based on what the bike is designed for and what a modern XC bike should look like. The head angle is 69.5° (70° for L and XL sizes), so the fork is more laid back, which helps the bike handle better on fast descents and technical passages. The saddle angle of 73.5° will be appreciated in steep climbs, where your ideal riding position will make the bike willingly go up and hold the trail very well.

Founded in 1972, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.

Giant is the world's leading brand of high quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology and innovative design.

Giant has long been one of the leading innovators in cycling. They introduced lighter and stronger aluminium frames at a time when steel was the industry standard. They were the first to make carbon fibre bikes widely available to the world. They defined modern road bike design with Compact Road geometry. And the patented Maestro suspension revolutionized the full-suspension bike segment.

WeightUnfortunately, there is no standard for weighing bikes that all manufacturers adhere to, and the weights listed are often inaccurate. To find out the exact weight of a bike in a given size, you need to have the bike weighed at the store, as well as a model from a competing brand – this is the only way to get accurate figures for weight comparison.
