New dimension of speed
We've achieved much better results with the complete redesign of the Aeolus RSL. We have moved to 3D CFD models of iterative feedback tuning and included more variables that affect speed. We were able to better mimic real-world conditions and produce wheels that are not only faster, but represent a significant improvement in speed.

Wider means faster
The 23mm inner width of the Aeolus RSL wheels allows for a more aerodynamic connection to the tires, making it easier to reach higher speeds. This design allows the tires to be inflated to lower pressures, which then leads to a smoother, faster and less fatiguing ride.

Rapid with less exertion
Aerodynamically faster rim shapes and wheel/tire profiles that are guaranteed to reduce rolling resistance result in substantial effort savings. For example, for Trek-Segafredo rider Mads Pedersen, the Aeolus RSL wheels save 34 watts in the sprint to the finish compared to an earlier version of these wheels with a similar rim height.

Allows the use of tubelessless tires (TLR)
This wheelset can be set up for a tubeless version using either a Bontrager TLR rim insert or rim tape if keeping the weight as low as possible is important.
