Unior d.d. is one of the world's largest metal processors. Its success is based on excellent internal cooperation and the use of synergies, leading to the product areas of hand tools, forged and sintered parts and special purpose machinery. This gives Unior a balanced portfolio of products and services.

Unior's hand tool program produces more than 10 million tools and sheet metal cases per year. It is the successor of a rich blacksmithing tradition in the Pohorje region and north-eastern Slovenia. In the 19th century, several forges were established in the Pohorje region to produce agricultural and craft tools, whose work was related to the four ironworks in the area, and the first factory for forged tools was established in the early 20th century, in 1919.
