Founded in Hawaii in 1979 and headquartered at the base of Mount Hood in Hood River, Oregon, Dakine makes backpacks, travel bags, accessories, outerwear and apparel for people who like to surf, snowboard, skateboard, mountain bike, ski, windsurf, kiteboard and travel.

Overall, Dakine is responsible for hundreds of early products that have helped snowboarders, surfers, kiteboarders, skiers, windsurfers and mountain bikers spend more days on the mountain and in the water.
