Old Skool, the classic Vans skate shoe that was the first to carry the iconic lateral line. They're a low-laced shoe with rugged uppers, reinforced toes to resist repeated wear, padded collars for support and flexibility, and a rubber outsole with a waffle pattern.
The Old Skool, first known as the Vans #36, debuted in 1977 with a unique new accessory: a random scribble drawn by founder Paul Van Doren that was originally referred to as the "jazz stripe." Today, the famous Vans side stripe has become an unmistakable - and instantly recognisable - brand hallmark.
