The Trance X 29 trail bike is based on the popular Trance 29, but in keeping with the "more travel - more fun" motto, it adds even more travel, giving you 150 mm in the front and 135 mm in the rear. Thanks to flip-chip inserts in the upper suspension arm, you can adjust the geometry of the bike to suit your riding style or the terrain you ride most often.
The Trance X 29 is built on an aluminium frame made from our high quality ALUXX SL alloy, which ensures that the frame is very lightweight, yet stiff and strong enough. The upper suspension wishbone is made from a single piece of carbon composite for added stiffness and strength while keeping the weight down. This is Advanced Forged Composite technology, which is based on a multi-directional carbon construction and an innovative extreme high-pressure moulding process.

The Maestro suspension on this model provides 135mm of travel and is partnered by a 150mm travel fork up front. The Maestro is fully active and highly responsive, making off-road riding more enjoyable and fun. This system works on the principle of a virtual (floating) centre of rotation of the rear structure, which eliminates unwanted wobble when pedalling - so you don't lose energy and ride smoother, faster and with less effort.
Thanks to flip-chip inserts located in the upper suspension arm, you can easily adjust the geometry of the bike to suit your riding style or the terrain you ride most often. While the Low setting is ideal for fast, "aggressive" terrain (65.5° head angle, 77.2° seat angle), the High setting creates a more XC-oriented riding position (66.2°/77.9° angles). The change is also reflected in the height of the centre of pedal - BB drop is either 40 or 30 mm.
Founded in 1972, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.
Giant is the world's leading brand of high quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology and innovative design.
Giant has long been one of the leading innovators in cycling. They introduced lighter and stronger aluminium frames at a time when steel was the industry standard. They were the first to make carbon fibre bikes widely available to the world. They defined modern road bike design with Compact Road geometry. And the patented Maestro suspension revolutionized the full-suspension bike segment.

| Weight | Unfortunately, there is no standard for weighing bikes that all manufacturers adhere to, and the weights listed are often inaccurate. To find out the exact weight of a bike in a given size, you need to have the bike weighed at the store, as well as a model from a competing brand – this is the only way to get accurate figures for weight comparison. |
