The new and improved Trance 29 takes the "all-purpose trail bike" moniker to a whole new level and is addictively fun. It's the perfect bike for trails where high travel is not needed and a 130/120mm combination will suffice. Thanks to flip chip inserts in the upper suspension arm, you can adjust the geometry to suit your riding style or the terrain you ride most often.
The Trance 29 is built on an aluminium frame made from our high quality ALUXX SL alloy, which ensures that the frame is very lightweight, yet stiff and strong enough. The upper suspension wishbone is made from a single piece of carbon composite, Advanced Forged Composite technology, for increased stiffness and strength while reducing weight.

With flip chip inserts located in the upper suspension wishbone, you can easily adjust the geometry of the bike for your riding style or the terrain you ride most often. While the Low setting is ideal for fast, "aggressive" terrain (65.5° head angle, 76.3° seat angle), the High setting creates a more XC-oriented riding position (66.2°/77° angles). The change also affects the height of the centre of pedal.
The Maestro suspension is fully active and highly responsive, making off-road riding more enjoyable and fun. This system works on the principle of a virtual (floating) centre of rotation of the rear structure, which eliminates unwanted sway when pedalling - so you don't lose energy and ride smoother, faster and with less effort.
Founded in 1972, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.
Giant is the world's leading brand of high quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology and innovative design.
Giant has long been one of the leading innovators in cycling. They introduced lighter and stronger aluminium frames at a time when steel was the industry standard. They were the first to make carbon fibre bikes widely available to the world. They defined modern road bike design with Compact Road geometry. And the patented Maestro suspension revolutionized the full-suspension bike segment.

| Weight | Unfortunately, there is no standard for weighing bikes that all manufacturers adhere to, and the weights listed are often inaccurate. To find out the exact weight of a bike in a given size, you need to have the bike weighed at the store, as well as a model from a competing brand – this is the only way to get accurate figures for weight comparison. |
