The Fenix TK28R is a powerful torch from the TK series which, with an output of up to 6,500 lumens and a beam distance of up to 400 metres, ranks among the absolute top of its kind. 1. Intuitive operation with the innovative FlexiSensa Control lever
   The rotating FlexiSensa Control lever enables quick and reliable switching between white light, lock mode and red light, while the tactical switch on the tail of the torch ensures instant activation as well as strobe activation with a single press, so operation is lightning-fast and completely reliable even with gloves on or under stress.
2. Charging directly in the torch via USB-C and long runtime
   A pair of powerful 18650 rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 4,000 mAh each can be conveniently charged directly in the torch via a modern USB-C connector. When using a powerful 27 W power source, fully depleted batteries are charged in approximately 1.5 hours, while in the lowest mode the torch can run for an impressive 102 hours.

Using the Fenix TK28R torch
From the factory, the rechargeable batteries may have an insulating cover. Remove it before first use.
With the rotary control FlexiSensa Control on the tail of the torch, you can select the desired lighting mode: white light – locked – red light.
On/off - When the torch is unlocked, press the main tactical button on the tail to switch on; for instant activation, half-press the button.
Switching output modes and strobe - Press the secondary function button to switch between output modes of the selected light colour at any time during operation. The maximum mode of 6,500 lumens can be activated at any time on an unlocked torch by holding the main tactical button for 0.5 seconds. To switch to strobe when the torch is on, hold the mode button for 0.5 seconds. To switch the torch on directly into strobe mode, press and hold the mode button.
Lock mode/off - When the torch is on, in any state, rotate the rotary switch to lock/off mode to switch off and lock the torch. After that, the torch cannot be switched on by pressing the buttons.
Last-mode memory - The torch has memory and always switches on in the last used mode, except strobe.
Battery replacement - Flip open the torch head and insert the batteries with the poles according to the markings. Then close the head again and secure it.
Charging - Slide the cover of the charging port on the tail of the torch, then connect the USB-C charging cable to the torch. The indicator in the mode button lights red while charging and turns green when fully charged. If charging fails or the batteries are inserted the wrong way round, the battery status indicator will flash red or remain off to alert the user to check the batteries. When using a powerful USB power source 9 V/3 A (27 W), fully depleted batteries charge in approx. 1.5 hours; when using a USB power source 5 V/3 A (15 W), they charge in approx. 3 hours.
Battery charge status indication - Each time the torch is switched on, the indicator LED in the mode button activates for three seconds. If the indicator LED lights green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Flashing green means 50–85% capacity. If it lights red, it is charged to 25–50%. Flashing red indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the torch reduces brightness to a lower level. After reaching the lowest output, the battery status indicator will slowly flash red to remind users to recharge or replace the batteries in time.
Intelligent overheat protection - If the torch temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will be reduced automatically. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will gradually increase again.

Warning
Do not disassemble sealed parts of the torch yourself; doing so will void the warranty.
Keep the torch out of reach of children!
Do not shine the torch directly into your own or anyone else’s eyes!
When using UV light, protect your eyes with glasses equipped with a UV filter.
Never use batteries with different levels of discharge or batteries with different capacities.
Lock the torch or loosen the body by a few turns to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher output modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are almost depleted – replace them.
- The contacts inside the torch or the battery holder are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
- The torch body is loose – apply lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
