Using the Fenix TK25R Flashlight
A insulation cap may be present on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it before first use.
To turn on the flashlight, press the main tactical switch at the end of the flashlight; to activate it immediately, press and hold it. By pressing the side toggle button, you can then cycle through the lighting modes of the selected reflector. The 3600-lumen Turbo mode can also be activated directly at any time by holding the main tactical switch for 0.5 seconds. To switch to strobe mode while the flashlight is on, hold the toggle switch for 0.5 seconds. To turn the flashlight directly into strobe mode, press and hold the toggle switch.
Switching between main and side reflectors, locking - Turn the tail switch to select the desired reflector. Turning the switch to the far left selects the main reflector, turning it to the far right selects the side reflector, and the middle position locks the flashlight. A locked flashlight does not respond to any operation of the dual end switch.
Memory for the last set power mode - The flashlight remembers the last power mode used within the selected reflector. The next time it is turned on, it activates in this mode (does not apply to Strobe).
Battery Replacement - Unscrew the flashlight body and insert the battery with the positive (+) terminal facing the reflector. Then fully tighten the body again.
Charging - Turn off the flashlight, flip open the dust cover, and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port. Once charging is complete, replace the dust cover. The indicator lights up red during charging and turns green when fully charged. The flashlight cannot be used while charging. If charging fails or a battery with reversed polarity is inserted, the indicator flashes red or does not light up at all. Only ARB-L21 (Li-ion 21700) batteries may be charged. The typical charging time for a fully discharged ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery is approximately 1.5 hours when using a 9 V / 3 A USB power source and approximately 2.5 hours when using a 5 V / 3 A USB power source.
Battery Charge Status Indication - The indicator LED activates for three seconds each time the flashlight is turned on. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. A green flashing light indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, the battery is charged to 25-50%. A red flashing light indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains.
Intelligent Overheating Protection - If the flashlight’s temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will automatically be reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Low Battery Warning - If the voltage drops below a preset level, the flashlight will dim to a lower brightness level. Once the lowest output is reached, the battery charge indicator will begin to flash red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed section in the flashlight head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
Use only high-quality 21700 Li-ion batteries with protection circuitry.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them.
If the flashlight is flashing, does not switch to a higher power level, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead; charge it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty; clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The flashlight cap is loose; tighten it.
