Fenix TK17 flashlight control
From the factory, there may be an insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
To turn on press the larger tactical button located on the end of the flashlight, press the button for immediate activation. Press the adjacent toggle button to switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to flash mode with the flashlight on, hold the toggle button for approximately 0.5 seconds. To switch the flashlight directly into strobe mode, press and hold the toggle button. The BURST mode (3600 lumens) can also be directly activated at any time by holding the main tactical button for 0.5 seconds.
Intelligent overheat protection- Due to the flashlight's huge 3600 lumen output, the flashlight experiences a temperature rise. If the temperature exceeds 60°C, the power will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60°C, the power will automatically increase again.
Battery charge indication - Turn on the flashlight with any button for less than one second, then the battery charge indication next to the switch will light up for 3 seconds. If the flashlight stays lit longer, the indication will not activate. If the indication LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining.
Discharged Battery Warning - the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest power mode automatically, if it is already in the lowest power mode, it will flash 3 times every 5 minutes.
Charging
- Remove the battery from the flashlight and plug the USB-C cable into the connector at the plus pole of the battery.
- The three blue indicators on the battery will gradually light up while charging. Once the three indicators remain steadily lit, the battery is fully charged.
- Charging time for a fully discharged battery is approximately 4 hours with a 5V/2A USB adapter.
Caution
Use only high quality rechargeable batteries type 21700 with protective electronics.
Do not point at flammable objects in the immediate vicinity to avoid damaging them or causing a fire due to high temperature!
Remove the battery or loosen the end cap to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport in a closed environment.
Place this flashlight out of reach of children and do not shine directly into anyone's eyes.
Insert batteries with the positive terminal facing the head of the flashlight.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after extended use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is dead - charge or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The head, body or back of the flashlight is loose, tighten them.
