    But still offers the same double safety and easy handling. The bolt lock can only be operated with the safety latch open. Accidental opening is prevented, as is accidental twisting of the carabiner in the belay loop of the climbing harness.

    This prevents dangerous side loading. Mammut recommends the use of Smart HMS 2.0 carabiners for the Smart 2.0 belay device.
