Antimicrobial Protection - The Aegis® Microbe Shield technology consists of a solid structure of polymer needles that disrupt the cell walls of odor-causing microbes to kill them. There are no chemicals that can reduce their effectiveness over time and thus increase the resistance of the bacteria. All materials that come into contact with the foot or sock are treated with Aegis®, including the cushioning and insoles of shoes and sandals. Aegis® treatment is insoluble and non-washable, so it can withstand repeated cleaning and does not leak into the environment.
