Abzorb - The basis of the cushioning system in most New Balance models is Abzorb material, which provides maximum shock absorption and energy distribution. A key feature of ABZORB is its superior cushioning characteristics, which do not change over time.

C-CAP - A cushioning core of higher density EVA material located in the midsole. Increases foot stability and absorbs shock.

Stability Web - Provides support in the midfoot and ensures high torsional stability and independent forefoot and rearfoot movement, which also reduces fatigue and risk of injury to the "plantar fascia". It reduces weight by allowing some of the midsole and outsole material to be removed without any detriment to midfoot stability.

Medial Post - A cleat made of a higher density material than the rest of the C-CAP midsole. The Medial Post most commonly extends from the heel to the area just in front of the toes, usually referred to as the cushion of the foot, but can vary in length for graduated motion control.

N-durance - An optimized hardened compound, a balanced combination of rubber and carbon fiber, placed in the heel of the outsole for maximum abrasion resistance (wear on the outsole during walking/running).

Blown Rubber - A lower density sole segment material than the rest of the outsole for maximum traction and surface grip (no slipping).
