A visit to the Pitztal Valley has been on your plans for some time, and now here you are standing on the headlands, hanging on to your ice picks on one of the many local glaciers. The dizzying depth beneath your feet, the endless distance of ice overhead, you're in the belay position and you're releasing the Camp Rocket bolt from the slot on your harness. The pitch of the thread is ideally set for easy bolting, the height of the thread for secure locking, and the folding handle allows for quick drilling into the most frozen ice. You engage the belay carabiner and the tension momentarily drops from you. For better orientation of the material, the Camp Rocket bolts are distinguished by the color of the handle. With practiced movements, you climb up the wall to the next belay and use the bowed wall to climb down to the belay. The wind blows snow in your face, the frost creeps into your gloves and you catch up with your partner. You shake hands and together you rappel back to the start.
