  • The VDO R1 WR basic wired computer is a reliable companion for those who want to keep track of the five most important values on their cycling trips - whether on the way to work or on a weekend bike trip.

    The large, easy-to-read computer display shows instantaneous speed, daily and total distance, ride time and hours. Individual functions are marked with icons for greater clarity. Setting up and operating the R1 WR is very easy thanks to the distinctive red function button. The integrated tire chart makes adjusting the circumference of the wheels a breeze.

    The handlebar mount for the waterproof computer can be quickly mounted on the bike using the included drawstrings. The computer can then be easily removed and stored, protecting it from possible theft.

    The wired connection between the transmitter and compter ensures smooth and trouble-free measurements without the need to install a battery in the transmitter. The included battery (CR2032) is sufficient to power the computer for more than two years.

  • The history of the VDO brand dates back to Germany and 1929, when it began to develop and manufacture automotive mechatronics and electronics, and eventually branched out into the bicycle industry. In late 2022, VDO introduced a brand new line of bike computers called the R Series, which includes five models, two of which use GPS signals.

    With its diverse features, the new R Series models support cyclists of all categories - from casual cyclists to e-bike riders to performance riders.The basic R1 and R2 models are available in both wireless and wired versions, while the R3 model, equipped with altitude measurement, is only offered in the wireless version. The VDO R4 and R5 models belong to the category of "smart" cycling computers - they use GPS signal and offer a wide range of functions, including connection with a smartphone app.
