The Protecteur® knife has been officially selected by ALAT (Army Light Aviation) and is used by French combat helicopter crews. Philippe Perotti created the initial sketches of this dagger, which features a symmetrical double-edged blade (smooth and serrated). The sharp and piercing blade is designed to allow the pilot to quickly extricate it in emergency situations.
The dagger will effectively cut through thick webbing or cables due to the serrated portion of the blade, and its piercing ability gives it versatility. The knife comes with a kydex sheath but no MOLLE attachment.
