- FILTER 8™ - Reflections of sunlight from the water surface, as well as from other shiny surfaces (such as snow or glass), significantly increase eye fatigue, reduce visual acuity and distort vision. That's why one of the layers of Wiley X lenses is a polarizing filter - Filter 8™. This prevents reflected rays whose waves travel in the horizontal plane from reaching the eyes. These are the ones that cause unpleasant glare. At the same time, the FILTER 8™ layer prevents the passage of all harmful UV radiation, which can otherwise cause pathological changes in the retina of the eye.

- SLICK™ - Both outer layers of Wiley X lenses are made of a hydrophobic compound. This means they actively repel water and ice. Thanks to special nanotechnology, the molecules of the hydrophobic layer are non-polar and do not bind with water molecules. The water molecules are therefore forced to bond with each other. Instead of wet coating and stains on the glasses, this results in larger water droplets that quickly run down the surface of the lenses and do not distort visual acuity. Hydrophobic surfaces are also anti-static, or repel dust and other contaminants. This makes the lenses very easy to clean with the soft microfiber cloth that comes with each pair of Wiley X glasses.

- T-SHELL™ - Two extra-hardened layers in the form of a flexible film protect the lenses from scratching, surface cracks or cracking. This increases the Wiley X's protection, durability and visual acuity.

- SELENITE™ - The two main protective layers of Wiley X lenses are made of polycarbonates, whose structure is made up of carbon and phenol atoms. These give the lenses up to ten times the impact resistance of conventional glass lenses. But they also have the advantage of being lightweight. The reliability and safety of Wiley X lenses is tested and certified by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Despite their extreme strength, these lenses do not distort images or reduce optical accuracy at all angles.

- VIOLET 4™ - As light passes through the lens of the glasses, some light reflects back from the front and back of the lens causing annoying flashes that impair vision. The Violet 4™ anti-reflective coating is designed to reduce or completely cancel out these glare effects. The layer can also eliminate the brightness of light that tires and strains the eyes.
