CAMP Neve, 50 cm - Steel spike

You are standing on a narrow snow ridge, with crampons on your feet, a Camp Neve ice axe in your hand and a pack on your back, which is flapping in the wind. You grip the cape tightly in your hand and lean it against the slope. The steel spike digs into the snow for support. The connection between your hand and the axe is a Camp Touring loop, so it can't slip and be lost in the event of a fall. Use the steel tip to cushion a fall, or jam it to help you climb. With the shovel, you can carve out a space for standing or an anchor point to secure the ascent. Overcoming all the pitfalls, you finally reach the long-awaited hut safely and have a beer as a reward.
