Developed and engineered in the wind tunnel in collaboration with world-class Swiss aerodynamics experts, the Nytron cycling helmet combines maximum safety, amazing aerodynamic performance and a compact, lightweight design.
Thanks to a scientific combination of massive exhaust vents and internal channels for directional energy flow, the Nytron bike helmet keeps the rider's head cool and reduces body temperature for excellent ventilation, increasing overall performance.
The Nytron cycling helmet outperforms the test results of the Rudy Project WG11 experimental protocol. The WG11 Rotational Impact Test is a protocol adopted by the Rudy Project in conjunction with accredited and notified bodies to test and measure the performance of helmets against rotational impacts.
- TRIPLE IN MOULD CONSTRUCTION
In-Mold technology allows us to cast the outer polycarbonate shell directly during the injection molding phase of the impact absorbing expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam. The result is a much stronger structure that is impact resistant and extremely lightweight, allowing for a better ventilation system. The combined action of the EPS structure, polycarbonate cover and exoskeleton creates resistance to mechanical impact and dissipates energy so that it is not transferred to the head of the person wearing the helmet. - MASSIVE VENTILATION
With ventilation, Nytron is changing the game in the road aero helmet category. Many scientific studies show that head cooling enhances performance by significantly reducing the negative effects associated with increasing body temperature. For this reason, the Nytron helmet was designed to combine maximum aerodynamic performance with the best possible ventilation. Intensive wind tunnel testing has shown that the Nytron helmet's fifteen scientifically configured vents and internal directional airflow channels provide unrivalled ventilation regardless of the rider's position. - OPTIMAL ADJUSTABILITY
The Nytron features our lightweight and durable RSR 10 adjustable system. It improves the fit of the helmet with a wraparound construction that can also be vertically micro-adjusted to further customize the fit. - AERODYNAMICS
The Nytron combines excellent aerodynamic properties with an amazingly compact and lightweight design. It was developed and engineered in collaboration with Swiss Side's aerodynamic experts, who have conducted extensive computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel testing. The Nytron's construction features four In-Mold EPS liners that provide maximum protection and shock absorption while keeping the helmet extremely light and ventilated.

WG 11 - ANOTHER LEVEL OF SAFETY CERTIFICATION
At Rudy Project, we strive to develop products aimed at the highest level of safety that exceed the requirements set by international standards such as CE or CPSC standards. Today, our goal is to go even further by surpassing a new experimental testing protocol based on real accident data and scientific sources. The Rudy Project WG11 Rotational Impact Test is a protocol that Rudy Project has adopted in collaboration with accredited and notified bodies to test and measure helmets' performance against rotational impacts. The pass-fail criterion of the Rudy Project WG11 is based on the BRIC (Brain Injury Criterion) value, which is an algorithm that defines the level of brain damage. This value must be less than 0.68. In fact, several studies have shown that BRIC values for concussions in humans range from 0.60 when scaled directly from animal data to 0.68 when obtained directly from college football players.
The Rudy Project brand is a global manufacturer and distributor of high-end sunglasses, helmets and diopter frames. It was founded in 1985 in Treviso, Italy by Rudy Barbazza and has since risen to become one of the most respected brands of sports glasses and helmets in the world.
Today the family business is run by Rudy Barbazza's sons Cristiano and Simone. They sell their products in more than 60 countries around the world and, since 2008, in the Czech Republic;
It focuses mainly on the development of sunglasses suitable for cycling, triathlon, motorsports, biathlon, cross-country skiing, etc.
