The fixed knife Žabka has been produced in Mikulášovice for several decades. The surviving records speak of the pre-war period when this knife became a helper of all craftsmen.

The first pieces of this knife were made with a wooden blade and a carbon steel blade, which corroded when working in a humid environment. The shape of the handle was more of an oval with no safety features and the blade was not as curved as today's knives.

The current knife offers a much more comfortable and safer use when working. The blade of the knife is made of 12 071 carbon steel with a hardness of 55-58 HRc. The blade has a length of 80 mm and is shaped to a sharp angle. The blade has a curved inner side, which allows easy and safe cutting.

The knife's blade is made of high quality and durable plasma, has an ergonomic shape that follows the clenched hand when squeezed, thus allowing comfortable cutting without unnecessary blisters or calluses. The front and back of the knife have guard-shaped mouldings to prevent slipping of the hand and subsequent injury.

This knife is taken as an electrician's knife, for easy cutting and stripping of cables and easy shaving of cable insulation. It is very popular with gardeners for removing growths and encroachments, with shoemakers for trimming soles, and with craftsmen in general.
