A longboard can be short or as long as the rider wants, but the deck should not be longer than the rider's height, to avoid loss of control. The most popular length is around 32-60 inches (average skateboard lengths are 28" - 32", with the largest being approximately 31-31.5 inches long).
Usually longer than a skateboard, a longboard is equipped with larger and softer wheels that provide a smoother and faster ride. However, depending on the hardness of the wheels used, it can also be slower. There are many different uses for longboards. Since longboards use softer bushings than classic skateboards, carving on them is much easier.
