Kånken was created in 1978 to help prevent back problems among Swedish schoolchildren, and has since become one of Fjällräven’s most appreciated products.

The shoulder straps are long and adjustable, making them suitable for both small and large backs. They can be fastened with a buckle so they don’t get in the way when tightened to their shortest setting. The material is durable, lightweight Vinylon F fabric, designed to withstand dirt and moisture.

The main compartment has a large zip opening that makes packing and unpacking easy. Two flat side pockets and a zip pocket on the front. The included PE foam seat pad is stored in the inner back pocket and also helps prevent the contents of the main compartment from rubbing against your back.
