CAMP Druid Pro - Slipping brake

CAMP Safety DRUID PRO is a lightweight and compact rappelling brake with automatic locking for work at heights and rescue forces. The brake is designed for static ropes with a diameter of 9.9 - 11 mm. The Druid PRO is designed exclusively for experienced users, it is deliberately not equipped with an "anti-panic" function! The body and lever are made of solid forged aluminium alloy. The moving parts are precision cast stainless steel. The arrangement of the internal cam mechanism is patented and offers a very fine control of the rope along with a gentle slip in case of catching a fall, thus saving the rope and increasing its lifetime. Feeding the rope when belaying an ascent is facilitated by a protrusion for the right index finger, located on the moving part of the cam near the belay eye. Just open the cam with your index finger and quickly feed a longer piece of rope. In case of an accidental fall into the cam, the belayer has no chance to hold the cam loose with one finger, the cam immediately retracts when the rope is stretched and prevents it from slipping.

steel eyelet serves to attach the rappel brake to a fixed point and thus prevents it from dropping to the ground.

Certification:

• EN 12841/C: rappelling brake for working rope with a maximum load of up to 120 kg, can also be used for rescue work at heights with a maximum load of up to 200 kg
• EN 341/2A: rescue and evacuation rappelling brake for 11 mm static ropes with a maximum load of up to 120 kg
• EN 15151: for ascents to structures using climbing techniques with dynamic ropes of 9.9 - 11 mm diameter
