Black Diamond's FLZ Carbon Distance poles are designed for trail runners to provide maximum support on climbs or steep descents, while taking up minimal space in your pack. These features will also be appreciated by travelers and hikers, as the length of the poles when folded is only 37 cm. The poles are made entirely of carbon fiber, complete with a lightweight foam handle and adjustable strap. Using the same technology as the avalanche probe, you unfold the poles in one motion. You can then adjust the exact length of the top segment using the FlickLock+ system. The poles are compatible with snow plates and can also be used in winter for skialpping.
