When using the Pressure Over Drive pump as a regular pump, air must fill the chamber before it can begin to fill the flat tire/tube. This can take many strokes before the tire/ inner tube begins to fill. When adding pressure to an already inflated tire/ tube, the chamber must first reach the same pressure as the tire/ tube before it can continue to inflate.
