Solid Strip is a new kind of rim tape that serves to protect the classic tubeless tape that sticks over it. Solid Strip prevents the wire from puncturing the inside of the rim, thus breaking the tape and resulting in a loss of pressure.
This tape also flattens the inner profile of the rim, making it easier to glue on the classic tubeless tape and therefore easier to install tubeless tires.
All new WTB TCS2.0 rims already have Solid Strip installed inside.
