Goggles certified to ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT standard shall be able to withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel ball fired at 164.6 km/h. The unbroken lens must remain firmly seated in the frame of the goggle, and the frame must remain intact.

Glasses certified according to EN.166f shall be able to withstand the impact of a 22 mm diameter, 43 g steel ball dropped from a height of 1.3 m and impacting at a speed of 18 km/h. The unbroken lens shall remain firmly seated in the frame of the spectacles and the frame shall remain intact.
