  • 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope by Mammut is a popular rope for mountain climbing and multi-pitch routes. The rope meets the requirements for both uses of double ropes. It can be used either as a half rope or as a twin rope (more on this in our methodical publication).

The rope has a fully impregnated braid and core. The water-repellent treatment ensures the required strength even when the rope is used in snow or ice. The impregnation meets the UIAA test where the rope must not soak up more than 1.5% of its weight in water. The water repellent treatment of the braid also has an effect on the increased abrasion resistance of the rope.

    • half and twin in one
    • complete water repellent treatment
    • packaged in a way that won't twist when first used
    • increased abrasion resistance
