A water reservoir (hydration bladder) is the most convenient way to stay hydrated during sport. Unlike a bottle, you don't need to stop or remove your backpack – simply drink from the tube with valve that's always within reach.

When choosing, consider the capacity: 1.5 litres is sufficient for shorter activities, whilst 2–3 litres suits all-day hikes and cycling trips. Look for a wide fill opening for easy cleaning and a quality valve seal to prevent leaks in your backpack. Pay attention to the reservoir volume and tube diameter – one and a half litres is enough for a day trip, three litres for a full day.
