Operating the Fenix TK21R flashlight
The battery compartment may contain an insulating cap from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn on the flashlight, press the larger tactical button located at the end of the flashlight. For immediate activation, press and hold the button. You can switch between power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side switch button. To switch to flash mode when the flashlight is on, hold the switch button for about 0.5 seconds. To turn the flashlight on directly in strobe mode, press and hold the switch button. BURST mode (3600 lumens) can also be activated directly at any time by holding down the main tactical button for 0.5 seconds.
Memory for the last mode used - The flashlight has a memory and always turns on in the last mode set, except for strobe.
Battery replacement - Unscrew the end cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with the positive pole facing inward. Then tighten the end cap completely again.
Charging - Loosen the protective nut under the head of the flashlight to reveal the charging port and connect the USB-C charging cable to the flashlight's charging connector. When charging is complete, tighten the nut again. When using a powerful 9V/3A USB power source, a completely discharged battery will charge in 1.5 hours; when using a 5V/3A USB power source, it will charge in 2.5 hours. The flashlight cannot be used while charging. The indicator lights up red during charging. When fully charged, it lights up green. If charging fails or the battery is inserted backwards, the indicator flashes red or does not light up at all.
Intelligent overheating protection - due to the fact that the flashlight achieves a tremendous output of 3600 lumens, its temperature rises. If the temperature exceeds 55°C, the output is automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 55°C, the output automatically increases again.
Battery charge indicator - Each time the flashlight is turned on (except for the strobe), the battery charge indicator opposite the charging connector lights up for 3 seconds. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. A green flashing light indicates 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged to 25-50%. A red flashing light indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains.
Low battery warning - the flashlight will gradually switch to the lowest power mode automatically; if it is already at the lowest power, it will flash 3 times every five minutes.
Warning
Only use high-quality 21700 rechargeable batteries with protective electronics.
Do not shine the light on flammable objects at close range to avoid damaging them or causing a fire due to high temperatures!
Remove the battery or loosen the end cap to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport in a closed environment.
Keep this flashlight out of the reach of children and do not shine it directly into anyone's eyes!
Insert the batteries with the positive pole facing the head of the flashlight.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water. If the flashlight flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons: The battery is dead - charge or replace it.
The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The head, body, or back of the flashlight are loose - tighten them.
