As is usual with the Wolf Tooth brand, this is not an Asian production, but a complex, well thought-out component. Everything is designed, processed and manufactured in Minnesota, USA. The pedal body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and complemented by 17-4 PH stainless steel axles.
Welcome the option of two different sizes, which should satisfy both the rider with a more petite foot and the stumper who uses children's skis instead of boots! In fact, these are the Small sizes with a pedal area of 105 x 99 mm and a weight of 373 g/pair. The larger Large version offers a 112 x 106 mm pedal area and a weight of 384 g/pair.
The contact area of the pedal is not purely flat, but uses a dual concave profile for proper foot placement, with a space-thinning profile from the outer edges towards the center. The pedal thickness at the narrowest center point is only 12.5mm, and 14mm at the edges. A set of 11 stainless steel pins on each side of the pedal provide a secure connection between the pedal and the sole. They are screwed in from the opposite side, so there is no problem with replacing them. The package also includes 6 spare pins, for an uncle story.
The pedals feature a trio of high quality, fully encapsulated bearings, which are additionally protected on the outside by a specifically designed radial seal. Again, everything is fully and easily serviced, with a basic set of Allen screws to remove them.
