The all-new Trance X is just the bike that when you send it into a heavy rock garden or jump your favorite dirt line with it, it'll thank you for it. Excellent handling and playfulness give it 27.5" wheels, and you can easily adjust the bike's geometry thanks to the flip chip. In short - the Trance X is so playful, it's literally a party on two wheels!

The Trance X is built on an aluminum frame made from our high quality ALUXX SL alloy, which ensures that the frame is very lightweight, yet stiff and strong enough. The upper suspension wishbone is made from a single piece of carbon composite - this is Advanced Forged Composite technology - for increased stiffness and strength, while reducing weight.

ALUXX SL Aluminum Technology
 The state-of-the-art aluminum material is made primarily from 6011 alloy and provides a best-in-class strength-to-weight ratio. The frameset was created using a unique welding technology with a focus on performance riding style.

Giant Tubeless System
 Fewer flats. Better tire grip. Less rolling resistance, more comfortable and faster ride. With Giant's tubeless system, you can enjoy all these benefits. The rims come with tubeless tape and valves from the factory, so all you have to do is apply sealant and your wheels are fully ready for tubeless.

Advanced Forged Composite Technology
The rear suspension arm is made from a single piece of carbon composite. The essence of the advanced technology is the multi-directional placement of carbon fibers and an innovative manufacturing process of extremely high pressure molding. The resulting product is both lighter and stiffer and stronger than the same product made from aluminum.

Overdrive
The oversize front fork post technology is designed to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise bike handling. It includes oversize headset bearings (lower 1 1/4" and upper 1 1/8" on road bikes and lower 1 1/2" and upper 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and a tapered fork post for optimal steering stiffness.

Maestro Suspension
 Four strategically placed pivots and two wishbones combine to create one virtual (floating) center of rotation for the rear structure. This neutralises the effect of the rear brake and makes the system fully active and highly responsive to all types of bumps, without unwanted swaying when pedalling.

Flip Chip - Maestro
The flip chip system allows you to quickly adjust the geometry of a Maestro suspension-equipped mountain bike to better suit your preferred terrain type or riding style. The eccentric (offset, two-position ) inserts located in the upper arm of the Maestro suspension are used to change the angle of the head and seat tubes and the height of the centre of the pedal. Thanks to the flip chip inserts in the upper suspension wishbone, you can easily adjust the geometry of the bike to best suit your riding style or the terrain you ride most often - mainly changing the head tube and seat tube angle and the height of the centre of pedal (BB drop). While the High position emphasizes efficiency and is ideal for riding on slower (narrower) terrain, the Low setting is suitable for faster and more "open" terrain where the bike will be more stable and more controllable.

The Maestro suspension on this model provides 145mm of travel and is partnered by a 160mm travel fork up front.
