When the road ends, the adventure begins. The ToughRoad SLR combines the features of a cross and mountain bike and is designed primarily for sightseeing trips, even with a full complement of outdoors gear. In short, it's the ideal bike for so-called bikepacking, i.e. traveling with panniers.
The ToughRoad SLR is built on a very lightweight ALUXX SLR aluminum frame, which we use a high-quality 6011A series alloy and an advanced lightweighting process to produce. The necessary rigidity and strength of the frame is of course maintained even at a very low weight. The fork is carbon with an aluminium post for better vibration damping.

Fans of extra-long trips, even multi-day trips, will appreciate the option to mount both a front and rear rack to the frame. So when you need to, it can carry your bike and all your gear for a stay anywhere away from home. The higher of the two models (ToughRoad SLR 1) is already equipped with a rack. A nice "bonus" on both models is the X-Defender mudguard on the down tube.
Founded in 1972, Giant is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world.
Giant is the world's leading brand of high quality bicycles and cycling equipment. As part of the Giant Group, founded in 1972, the Giant brand combines craftsmanship, advanced technology and innovative design.
Giant has long been one of the leading innovators in cycling. They introduced lighter and stronger aluminium frames at a time when steel was the industry standard. They were the first to make carbon fibre bikes widely available to the world. They defined modern road bike design with Compact Road geometry. And the patented Maestro suspension revolutionized the full-suspension bike segment.

| Weight | Unfortunately, there is no standard for weighing bikes that all manufacturers adhere to, and the weights listed are often inaccurate. To find out the exact weight of a bike in a given size, you need to have the bike weighed at the store, as well as a model from a competing brand – this is the only way to get accurate figures for weight comparison. |
