The new Tubolight Diamana rim insert reduces tyre rebound and helps keep tyre pressure stable on the surface thanks to controlled airflow through the insert. The channels on the sides of the liner are designed to create a 'venturi effect'. This means that as the size of the channels decreases, the speed of airflow through them increases.
This accelerates the airflow from the outer part of the liner to the inner part between the liner and the rim. The air is then trapped in the inner part, increasing the time before it returns to the outer part. There is very little air at the compression point of the rim throughout the entire damping period.
The Tubolight Diamana is made from high density, high strength EVA foam to ensure dimensional stability and consistent airflow between the channels. This also contributes to its extremely long service life. The life expectancy is several years. It does not absorb any of the tubeless sealants on the market and is fully compatible with all common tubeless valves.
