  • Andrew Brooks is passionate about the idea of offering people a practical, reusable alternative to waste-producing disposable cups. The idea was born in the summer of 2006 while fishing on the west coast of Canada. Brooks came across a spot where they had cleared an entire ridge of pine forest for a nearby paper mill.

Later he learned that most of the paper produced at the mill was not recycled at all, and he began to wonder if something could be done about it. The journey from that idea to the creation of the pokito cup took a considerable amount of time and a lot of ingenuity.
