Since 1983, LEATHERMAN has been producing multitools that are very durable and perfect for the job. When Tim Leatherman and his business partner Steve Berliner founded the Pocket Survival (PST) multitool company, they had no idea that one day more than 30 models would be produced in a 90,000-square-foot factory with more than 400 employees.
LEATHERMAN products are covered by a global 25-year warranty. Below you will find the options for how to make a warranty claim.
General information about the warranty for LEATHERMAN products:
The LEATHERMAN brand provides a 25-year warranty on goods (only “multitools”). The warranty for accessories and add-ons (sheaths, bits, etc.) is provided for 24 months. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
The warranty applies only to manufacturing defects. In the case of mechanical damage, the claim will be accepted only after an expert assessment by the seller’s service technician.
The warranty period begins on the day the goods are handed over to the buyer or end user at the time of sale. The seller provides a warranty for quality and completeness of delivery. The goods are supplied with a warranty of at least 24 months. If the buyer discovers defects upon receipt of the goods, they must always notify these facts in writing and by registered post, without undue delay, but no later than within 3 days of receipt of the goods.
You can make a claim with the retailer from whom you purchased the goods, together with the tax document, warranty card and claim form. The claim form must contain the date of delivery of the goods, the product name, the claimed quantity, a description of the defect, contact details (First name Surname, Address, telephone contact, email) and a proposal for how the claim should be resolved. The seller is obliged to respond to the claim within 10 days of receiving it.
