The legs are positioned so that the back can be unzipped for hassle-free toilet visits, the seat and waist have increased width and the full-length two-way zips on the sides can be used to release excess heat and make dressing/undressing easier. Zippered openings on the sides allow access to the pants pockets worn underneath.

There are also two large pockets on the legs for maps, a smaller pocket for a multitool, and a small pocket at the waist that is useful for batteries, as body heat will increase their performance in cold conditions.
