The discipline of cross-country is constantly evolving. Today's trails are technically quite different from those used in the early days of the sport. And there are also challenging endurance races, both one-day and stage races. The Pique Advanced 29 in its new generation is ready for it all. This super-lightweight all-carbon XC special is designed to handle even the most demanding trails perfectly - it will excel on tough climbs as well as technical passages and fast descents.

The Advanced Composite carbon frame is designed for maximum efficiency while keeping the weight as low as possible - it's 297g lighter than the previous generation of this model. It also has greater stiffness for efficient energy transfer, which is a huge advantage on climbs and at higher speeds. The new FlexPoint Pro suspension reduces weight by minimising parts. A shorter chainstay delivers greater agility when maneuvering on climbs and nimble acceleration to take advantage of every opportunity to pass.

Advanced Composite Technology In our in-house carbon processing plant, we use premium raw carbon with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio to produce custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and mold cured as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a patented manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Advanced Forged Composite Technology The rear suspension arm is made from a single piece of carbon composite. The essence of the advanced technology is the multi-directional placement of carbon fibers and an innovative manufacturing process of extremely high pressure molding. The resulting product is both lighter and stiffer and stronger than the same product made from aluminum.
	Overdrive The oversize front fork post technology is designed to increase the stiffness of the front of the frameset and steering for precise bike handling. It includes oversize headset bearings (lower 1 1/4" and upper 1 1/8" on road bikes and lower 1 1/2" and upper 1 1/8" on MTB bikes) and a tapered fork post for optimal steering stiffness.
FlexPoint Suspension FlexPoint suspension is a proven and commonly used single pivot rear suspension with auxiliary oversteer. It is therefore a system that is very simple in principle, yet fully functional. The FlexPoint provides 120 mm of travel and is sensitive to both large and small bumps via an air shock.

With a new 115mm rear suspension, 120mm front suspension and modern racing geometry, you'll tackle technical passages and fast descents as well as steep climbs. The FlexPoint Pro suspension is designed specifically for XC bikes that demand light weight, high efficiency, perfect handling and instantaneous response to terrain. It is a single pivot rear suspension with auxiliary oversteer, which has the advantage of simplicity of design and associated weight savings.

The frame geometry reflects current trends in cross-country racing. The steeper seat tube angle puts the rider in the optimal position for maximum pedaling efficiency even on the steepest climbs. Conversely, on fast descents, a higher-positioned fork provides more control over the bike. The bike's stability in rough terrain and at high speeds is also improved by a longer reach (see geometry chart), a modern "cockpit" that combines wider handlebars and a shorter stem, and a telescopic seatpost.
