This updated version of the popular Parker jacket features a lightweight, two-layer laminate with a hydrophilic Gelanots membrane from Japanese manufacturer Toyota. All seams are taped, so it will protect you from rain, wind, and the rigors of the climb.

Exposed parts like the shoulders, forearms and waist are made of a more durable fabric, while the outer pockets have waterproof YKK zippers and are large enough for comfortable use even with gloves on.

Plus, the placement of the pockets makes it easy to use even when wearing a backpack or a saddlebag. Thanks to material changes, this jacket is 35% lighter than its predecessor (weight size M - 530 g).

Gelanots membrane
Gelanots laminated fabric has a water column of 20,000 mm and a breathability of 25,000 g H2O/m2. This is simply explained by the fact that if you kneel down in mud, for example, assuming a contact area of 10 cm2, you can weigh 200 kg and the membrane will not leak. The two-layer laminate then means that the membrane is laminated on the top fabric and protected from mechanical damage on the inside by a lightweight mesh lining. It also keeps the membrane from sticking to sweaty skin and makes the jacket very comfortable to wear.
