The Sport Lavit brand has its origins in the Lavit brand, which was founded in 1956 by Sport Lavit GmbH in Viernheim. Initially, it mainly produced and distributed body, hair care and cosmetic products.
In 1981, the Lavit brand was relaunched. The brand name was changed from Lavit to Sport Lavit, which has been legally protected ever since. When the brand was relaunched, not only was the name changed, but also the product range was revised and expanded. Cosmetic bath additives were added. Since then, the products have been sold only under the Sport Lavit brand.
Even today, 65 years later, tonic and Duschfit are among the best sellers and an integral part of the range. Today, there are 27 different products in the Sport Lavit range.
