The Fenix HM23 V2.0 compact LED headlamp offers a light output of up to 300 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 88 meters. It uses a single AA pencil battery for power, with which it achieves a battery life of up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is a high-end white Luminus SST-20 LED and a pair of red LEDs. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters underwater.

The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a small pocket flashlight. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a steel removable buckle, so you can simply clip it to your pocket or strap. The end of the flashlight is magnetic, so it can easily be attached to anything metal.

The headlamp offers a total of three power modes in the white light mode and electronics with an extended-endurance feature, gradually reducing the power in the 300 and 50 lumen modes to achieve a longer light duration (see chart for endurance in each mode). The red light can be triggered in steady light or flash mode (both 5 lumens).

Very decent performance, low weight of only 86 grams (including the alkaline battery) and a favourable price predestine the HM23 V2.0 for a wide range of sports, leisure, work and everyday activities. It is suitable for evening trail runs, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It will also serve you as a standby car torch for unplanned situations, and its high durability makes it suitable as a work headlamp for tough conditions.

All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

1. Electronics with light time extension function (gradual power reduction) and reverse battery insertion protection.

To use
Unscrew the battery tube cap. Insert the battery with the plus pole towards the headlamp, and the minus pole towards the cap.
Switch the headlamp off to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
Switch the headlamp off to the last used red light mode by pressing the button twice quickly.
A switched on headlamp is switched off by holding down the button for 0.5 seconds.
When the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through in the order 3 - 50 - 300 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 5 lumens - red flash (when switched on to red light) with short button presses. The flashlight has memory and will always turn on in the last mode set (applies to both white and red light).
Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest power setting, the headlamp will flash 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to change the battery.
Headlamp Lock - When the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the headlamp will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked state. Unlock by holding the button again for 3 seconds. Accidental switching on of the headlamp can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap by approximately a quarter turn.

Warning
Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, this will violate the warranty.
Remove the battery from the flashlight if you will not be using it for an extended period of time or if it is dead. Otherwise, especially disposable batteries can drain and damage the headlamp.
If the headlamp blinks, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost dead - replace it.
- The battery tube cap is loose, tighten it.
- The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
