The wide neck of the kettle provides convenient access both for classic cooking on summer hikes, but you'll also appreciate it in the winter when it can serve very well for melting snow. The low centre of gravity mug and bowl offer good stability when used in the field. The mug is also fitted with a neoprene sleeve around the perimeter for safe handling of the hot drink.
