The Escapist Evo Tarp is an ultralight shelter tarp designed for those who take ultralight backpacking seriously. With a packed weight of just 360 g and packed dimensions of 18 × 8 × 8 cm, it’s easy to stow in your rucksack without compromising space or performance.

For 2026, the tarp has received a major upgrade – the new Ultra-Sil LS fabric absorbs less water, stretches less and dries faster, ensuring a tightly pitched shelter in any weather. The catenary-cut edges also minimise fabric flapping in the wind and contribute to the stability of the whole setup.

1. Easy and reliable pitching with trekking poles
   Circular reinforced cups securely hold trekking pole tips in place, while adjustable guyline tensioners on reinforced anchor points allow precise tensioning from underneath the tarp, making pitching quick and comfortable, with a stable result even in poor weather.
2. Ultra-Sil LS fabric for higher performance and lower environmental impact
   Fabric made from recycled 15D nylon with a polyester grid (30D ripstop) is RCS certified, bluesign APPROVED, contains no PFAS or flame retardants, and thanks to a Sil/PeU coating with a non-PFAS DWR finish it delivers reliable water resistance, minimal stretch and fast drying – features you’ll appreciate especially in wet conditions.
